Job summary

ImpactHK Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a Caseworker (Community Development - Outreach Service) on a 1-year contract to provide outreach to homeless individuals over 50, using the Holistic Therapeutic Community model, including basic health care, counselling, and group activities.

You will connect those in need with ImpactHK's support services or refer them to other community resources, and assist at the homeless center with center affairs.

Qualifications

• Possess a recognized diploma in Social Work or a bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• Proactive and energetic personality with an engaging communication style to initiate contact with clients.
• Willing to conduct outreach work during evenings.
• Required to take shifts at the community center on weekends and public holidays.
• Committed to serving marginalized communities, with a basic understanding of homelessness-related issues.
• Proficient in computer operations, with strong written and verbal communication in Chinese and English.
• A team player who is adaptable, eager to learn, and open to new challenges.
• Graduating students are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach services to homeless individuals over 50 in different districts using the Holistic Therapeutic Community model, including basic health care, case counselling, crisis intervention, group activities, etc.
• Connect those in need to ImpactHK's support services for the homeless, or refer them to other appropriate community resources based on their needs.
• Serve at community center for the homeless, and assist with center affairs.
• Handle other assigned duties by supervisor.
