Job summary

A well-established Bermuda insurance group is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead the reporting function for its Bermuda entity under IFRS. The role oversees the quality and timeliness of entity and group reporting, technical accounting judgments, close governance, and collaboration with group finance, actuarial, tax and auditors.

Responsibilities include owning IFRS 17 reporting, leading the IFRS 17 close with CSM, LRC, LIC components, advising on measurement models, maintaining accounting

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in financial or group reporting, preferably in insurance.
• Deep IFRS 17 expertise with strong IFRS 9 knowledge.
• Proven ability to lead close processes and manage external auditors.
• Excellent written and verbal English; strong stakeholder management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; professional qualification mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end IFRS 17 reporting for Bermuda entity, including quarterly and annual statements.
• Lead IFRS 17 close and analysis of CSM, LRC, LIC, and other components.
• Advise on measurement models and contract boundaries.
• Maintain IFRS 17 accounting policies and documentation.
• Manage year-end audit and external auditor relations.
• Partner with group finance, actuarial, tax and operations to align data flows.
• Support Bermuda statutory/regulatory reporting (BMA) as applicable.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements.
