Job summary

Hospital Authority - Kowloon Central Cluster invites applications for the position of Patient Care Assistant II at HK Island Cluster, HSCT Laboratory, Department of Medicine. The role involves environmental cleaning, disinfection, LN2 management, specimen transfer, waste handling, and daily laboratory operations in a healthcare setting.

The successful candidate should have completed F.5/S.5 or equivalent and possess basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese Word Processing).

Qualifications

• Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word Processing.
• Prior experience with liquid nitrogen handling is a plus, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental cleaning and disinfection of laboratory facilities.
• Maintain the Cell Processing Clean Room to established standards.
• Handle liquid nitrogen storage for cellular therapy products and samples.
• Transfer specimens and clinical documents between wards and laboratories after training.
• Handle and dispose of clinical waste per HA policies after training.
• Assist in inventory management of laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Support daily HSCT Laboratory operations as instructed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
