Our client
is a global company retailing and manufacturing a portfolio of leading international brands across sport, health and beauty, home, properties and logistics sector. They are looking for a HR Professional to join their team and provide support on regular HR functions and other project initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations and Administration
- Take over and manage the local HR responsibilities currently handled by the HR Business Partner.
- Manage day-to-day HR operations and administrative processes for Hong Kong employees.
- Handle MPF administration and other local HR-related filings in accordance with Hong Kong statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and update staff information in SuccessFactors and the company's HCM system.
- Coordinate employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, transfers, changes in employment terms, leave administration, and offboarding.
- Coordinate the ongoing workplace injury claim and liaise with the relevant parties, insurers, and external advisers as required.
- Escalate sensitive or high-risk matters to management, Legal, or external advisers when appropriate.
- Provide HR guidance and support to employees and managers on local HR policies, procedures, and employment matters.
Office Closure and Employment Termination
- Support the planning and execution of the Hong Kong office closure scheduled for Q2 2027.
- Coordinate the employee termination process, including preparation of termination documentation, calculation and processing of final payments, leave balances, MPF cessation, and other required arrangements.
- Ensure termination and redundancy processes are handled professionally, confidentially, and in accordance with Hong Kong employment legislation and company policies.
- Prepare employee communications and support meetings relating to employment termination and office closure.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Payroll, management, and external advisers on employee exits and closure-related activities.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all required statutory notifications and employee documentation are completed on time.
Key Requirements
- Degree holder in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Solid experience in HR operations, HR generalist, HRBP, or employee relations roles.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
- Practical experience handling Hong Kong HR administration, including MPF, payroll coordination, employee records, and statutory filings.
- Previous experience supporting office closures, workforce reductions, employee termination, redundancy, or other major HR transition projects is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of Hong Kong employment practices and statutory requirements.
- Experience with SuccessFactors or other HCM systems is preferred.
- Strong employee-relations and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
- Organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and liaise effectively with management, employees, internal departments, and external advisers.
