Job description

About the Opportunity

The Global HR Operations team plays a critical role in delivering an exceptional employee experience across the entire employee lifecycle. As an HR Operations Manager for the Hong Kong market, you will lead day‑to‑day HR operations and ensure seamless delivery of HR services across onboarding, employee lifecycle management, benefits, payroll coordination, immigration, and offboarding. Beyond operational excellence, you will identify opportunities to improve processes, leverage technology, and simplify workflows to enhance both employee experience and operational effectiveness.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and oversee end‑to‑end HR operations across the employee lifecycle for Hong Kong, ensuring services are delivered accurately, compliantly, and with a strong focus on employee experience.
  • Oversee onboarding processes to deliver a positive and welcoming employee experience, including first‑day preparation and orientation programmes.
  • Manage day‑to‑day HR operational activities, including employee lifecycle changes, offboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, immigration (IANG, Employment Visa, business visa), employment documentation, audit and statutory submissions.
  • Own HK statutory compliance – HK Employment Ordinance, MPF enrolment and contributions, salaries tax (IR56B/E/F/G filings), statutory leave and benefit calculations.
  • Maintain the integrity of HR systems and employee data, ensuring accurate records and adherence to governance and compliance requirements.
  • Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Finance, Legal, IT, and external vendors to resolve operational challenges and deliver consistent, high‑quality HR services.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve ways of working, and leverage technology or automation – including AI tools – to enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
  • Analyse operational issues to identify underlying causes, recommend practical solutions, and implement improvements that strengthen service quality and operational effectiveness.
  • Prepare and analyse HR operational metrics and reports to support decision‑making and monitor service performance.
  • Lead or support HR projects and process improvement initiatives, taking ownership to deliver high‑quality outcomes within agreed timelines.
What We Look For In You
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 5–7+ years of relevant experience in HR Operations, with at least 3 years specialising in the Hong Kong market.
  • Strong command of the HK Employment Ordinance, MPF regulations, salaries tax requirements, and statutory benefit obligations – able to advise stakeholders, not just process.
  • Experienced in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, or multinational environment – comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Strong critical thinking and sound judgement, with the ability to analyse information and make balanced decisions independently.
  • Curious and solution‑oriented, with a focus on identifying root causes and improving processes.
  • Resilient and execution‑focused, able to manage competing priorities and deliver results without losing accuracy.
  • Proactive in driving process improvements and leveraging technology – including AI tools – to enhance efficiency.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and seniority levels.
  • Fluent in English and Cantonese (written and spoken); Mandarin an advantage.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential employee information.
Benefits
  • L&D programs and education subsidy for employees' growth and development.
  • Team building programs and company events.
  • Wellness and meal allowances.
  • Comprehensive healthcare schemes for employees and dependants.
