Job summary

St. James’ Settlement is seeking a senior manager to supervise a multidisciplinary team and oversee the operation of the nursing home in Wan Chai.

The role focuses on monitoring the quality and effectiveness of various elderly services, including day care units and the RCSV scheme, and requires strong leadership to open up resources and drive improvements. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of post-degree social work or post-registration nursing experience, with English/Chinese

Qualifications

• RSW or nurse registration with valid practising certificate.
• At least 10 years of post-degree social work or post-registration clinical nursing experience.
• Experience in elderly care or geriatric wards with supervisory duties.
• Registered Home Manager in a Residential Care Home for the Elderly preferred.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese; proposal writing advantageous.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic with strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multidisciplinary team and oversee the operation of nursing home.
• Monitor and evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing home, day care units and RCSV services.
• Open up resources, manage financial controls and drive continuous improvements.

• At least 10 years of post-degree social work experience OR at least 10 years of post registration clinical nursing experience in hospital, work in elderly service or geriatric ward including supervisory duties
• A Registered Home Manager in a Residential Care Home for the Elderly is preferred
• Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese, good in proposal writing is the advantage
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, good leadership and management skills, excellent interpersonal skills with multi-disciplinary professionals, users, carers and stakeholders

In 1987, the headquarters was opened in Stone Nullah Lane so that the scope of services could be further extended.
