Job summary

The Hong Kong Jockey Club invites fresh graduates to join its 2027 Management Trainee Programme, a three-year accelerated track to develop future leaders. You will gain a broad view of the Club, learning across business and corporate functions through rotations and formal training.

You will work with senior managers on cross‑functional projects, contribute data‑driven ideas to improve operations, participate in community initiatives, and build leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving

Qualifications

  • Fresh graduate or degree holder with less than 3 years working experience.
  • Proven academic excellence and performance.
  • Mature, self-confident and independent.

About HKJC 2027 Management Trainee Programme

Job Summary

The Management Trainee Programme recruits and develops high-potential individuals as future leaders of the Club - young talent who will carry forward the Club's purpose of working continuously for the betterment of our society.

During our accelerated three-year talent programme, you will:

Gain a deeper understanding of the Club and its unique integrated business model, and learn various aspects of the Club's operations and management

Acquire job-related skills and knowledge through a wide range of learning and development activities, including formal training and job rotations within and across the business and corporate functions to gain cross-functional experience

Work with senior managers and colleagues on stretch projects contributing to the Club’s business development and its broader impact in society

Contributeinnovative ideas and data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency and improve processes

Participatein the Club’s community projects

Develop leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

Prepare for a future management position within the organization

About You

We are looking for passionate young talent with the following qualities and aspirations:

The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class sports and entertainment organisation that acts continuously for the betterment of our society.

Founded in 1884 as a membership club to promote racing, today the Club operates a unique integrated business model of world-class racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. This enables the Club to generate economic and social value.

The Club is the largest single taxpayer in Hong Kong and one of the world’s leading charity donors. In 2024/25, it donated 95% of its operating surplus after tax to The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. In the same period, the Club returned a total of HK$39.1 billion to the community. This included HK$30.1 billion in duty, profits tax and Lotteries Fund contributions to the HKSAR Government and HK$9 billion in approved charity donations.
