Job summary

Tory Burch in Hong Kong seeks an accomplished Director of Product Development for handbags and small leather goods. You will lead end‑to‑end development, from concept through production handover, working across Design, NY PD, Tech, QA, and vendor partners to ensure brand aesthetics, quality, cost targets, and timely delivery.

Based in Hong Kong, you will drive development standards, mentor a team, manage calendars and risk, and ensure product readiness for seasonal launches with a global partner

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in product development for handbags and small leather goods.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in product development teams.
• Strong knowledge of HBSLGs construction, materials, trims, finishing techniques, testing requirements, and manufacturing processes.
• Balance design intent with technical feasibility, quality, cost and manufacturability.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Mandarin/Cantonese speaking is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full HBSLGs product development process from design handoff to production readiness.
• Coordinate with Design, NY PD, Tech, QA, Raw Materials, Costing, Testing, Production and vendors.
• Identify risks early and resolve issues to avoid late‑stage changes.
• Set development standards and monitor KPIs like sample hit rate and lead time.
• Coach and develop the product development team with clear ownership and accountability.
