Job summary

The Head of Group Strategy at ALL-STAR AGENCY leads the Bank's strategic planning cycle, translating the Group's vision into actionable plans and measurable KPIs across the Wealth Management and Corporate Banking segments.

This senior leader will partner with cross-functional teams, drive cross-border initiatives with Mainland China, and present Board-ready insights to accelerate sustainable growth and safeguard the bank's competitive edge in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience with at least 5 years in corporate strategy, management consulting, or private banking/wealth management.
• Proven track record delivering complex strategic projects within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Wealth Management, Corporate Banking, cross-border banking, and regulatory landscapes.
• Fluency in English; Cantonese and Mandarin are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Group's strategic planning process for the Private Wealth Management segment, ensuring alignment with CFO targets.
• Convert the CEOs' vision into a cohesive corporate roadmap with measurable objectives.
• Harmonise Mainland China growth strategy with Group objectives amid regulatory dynamics.
• Partner with business leaders across Wealth Management, Corporate Banking, and other divisions to operationalise strategic plans.
• Use storytelling and data visuals to present insights for executive decisions.
• Translate strategic goals into quantifiable annual KPIs for each unit.
• Prepare Board-ready reports and presentations for senior management.
• Build and lead a high-calibre team, coaching for high performance.

The Head of Group Strategy leads the Bank's strategic planning cycle and drives the successful execution of its long-term roadmap. This role translates the Group's vision into actionable strategic plans and measurable KPIs, fostering cross-functional collaboration to safeguard the Bank's competitive edge and accelerate sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Operationalisation

• Oversee the Group's strategic planning process for the Private Wealth Management segment, ensuring alignment between the financial targets set by the Group CFO and the Bank's growth priorities.
• Convert the CEOs' vision into a cohesive corporate roadmap featuring clearly defined, measurable objectives.
• Collaborate with the leadership of China CEO to harmonise the Mainland China growth strategy with Group objectives, while navigating local regulatory requirements and market dynamics.
• You'll partner with business leaders across Wealth Management, Corporate Banking, and other key divisions to develop and operationalise their strategic plans, securing buy-in and ensuring market competitiveness.
• Leverage advanced storytelling and data visualisation techniques to distil complex information into compelling narratives that support executive decision-making.
• Serve as the bridge between strategy and performance by translating strategic goals into quantifiable annual KPIs for each business unit.
• Work alongside subject-matter experts across the Bank Group to:
• Conduct in-depth research on the financial services industry, covering market trends, competitive dynamics, and disruptive technologies such as FinTech and AI.
• Identify emerging opportunities and potential threats to the bank's business model, while monitoring regulatory changes and assessing their strategic implications.
• Track economic policies in the Greater Bay Area and Mainland China to capitalise on cross-boundary banking opportunities.

Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and lead a high-calibre team (currently two headcounts), providing coaching and constructive feedback to cultivate a high-performance culture.
• Uphold the highest standards of analytical rigour, accuracy, and executive-level quality across all departmental outputs.
• Act as a trusted thought partner to business leaders, preparing "Board-ready" reports and presentations for senior management.
