Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) is seeking a skilled individual to manage and develop Private Banking client relationships while providing high-quality, tailored services. Candidates should possess a degree in BBA, Marketing, or related fields and have at least 5 years of experience in financial services, ideally in client management.

The successful applicant will lead a team of Relationship Managers and focus on business growth through effective cross-selling and client acquisition strategies. Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop and straighten Private Banking client relationships, providing high‑quality, comprehensive and tailor‑made Private Banking services.
• Explore potential Private Banking clients, increase HNW clients’ market share, and actively perform cross‑selling to improve the clients’ portfolio.
• Lead and provide supervisory oversight over a group of Relationship Managers by offering coaching and leadership on client acquisition and client management, to build sustainable business growth and achieve goals set by senior management.

Requirements

• Degree or above, with BBA, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or Financial Management preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in financial services, with at least 3 years in client management.
• Solid knowledge in investment and insurance business, banking operations, risk management, and business practices.
• Strong ability to identify bottlenecks and motivate sales staff appropriately.
• Qualifications in HKSI (Type 1 & 4), ECF–CPWP, CFA, CFP, CFMP preferred.
• Proficiency in rules and regulations for local requirements from customer KYC, portfolio management solutions, and risk matters.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with full command of English and Chinese in both spoken and written, including Putonghua.
