Job summary

HKT invites a Lead Data Engineer to shape and drive the Enterprise Data Platform. You will oversee architecture, development, and operations for high-throughput data systems, guiding a team of engineers to deliver secure, scalable data services.

The role blends deep cloud data architecture expertise with strategic leadership, stakeholder management, and a focus on data quality, lineage, and governance to support business analytics and decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, IT, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and languages used in data engineering (Python, Scala, Java, or R).
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data warehouse/lake architectures.
• Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and distributed processing orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data engineers.
• Define and enforce data governance, security, and privacy standards.
• Architect and optimize enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines and data storage solutions.
• Collaborate with business units and IT to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
