Job Summary

Group Strategy at HKEX shapes, incubates and drives the delivery of key strategic initiatives across the firm, partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders across a spectrum of initiatives, including product and platform development, market‑facing initiatives, cross‑exchange collaborations, and exploration of new and complementary business opportunities.

Job Duties

• Lead day‑to‑day analytical workstreams and strategic problem solving across a wide range of initiatives.
• Drive strategic research on market trends, competitive dynamics and relevant topics for HKEX’s business.
• Develop strategic recommendations for senior management and the Board, ensuring high‑quality insights and clear narratives.
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to help evaluate and progress strategic initiatives, ensuring effective coordination and follow‑up across divisions.
• Participate in meetings with business partners, regulators, government counterparts and external stakeholders, supporting senior team members in preparing materials and capturing outcomes.
• Support the assessment of strategic opportunities—including acquisitions, investments, partnerships and new business initiatives—through analysis, modeling and preparation of decision materials.
• Generate new strategic ideas that support HKEX’s long‑term vision and market development.
• Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members, supporting their development and ensuring quality control.

Qualifications

Experience in strategy, corporate finance or exchanges is strongly preferred. Capital markets or business development experience is a plus.
