Job summary

Coins.ph, a licensed wallet provider, is seeking an experienced Lawyer (Global Licensing & Regulatory Affairs) to lead licensing for payments, remittance, e-money, and VASP services across multiple jurisdictions. The role requires deep regulatory expertise, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to coordinate with regulators, external counsel, and internal teams to embed compliance into product design.

Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of post-qualification legal experience in financial services, fintech, payments, or crypto.
• At least 3+ years securing financial licenses in EU, LatAm, Africa, South Asia, or Hong Kong.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CFT, payment services regulations, and e-money licensing.
• Excellent English drafting and communication; Chinese language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global licensing roadmap for payments, remittance, and crypto services.
• Prepare, review, and submit license applications; liaise with regulators.
• Coordinate with external counsel, consultants, and regulators across jurisdictions.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are embedded in product and operations.
• Monitor global regulatory developments and advise on market entry.
• Draft internal policies and regulatory reports.
• Represent Coins.ph in regulatory discussions and industry groups.
