Job summary

Apple is seeking a Data Center Engineer based in Hong Kong to deploy and maintain servers and infrastructure across remote locations. You will work with Data Center teams and business groups to ensure solid infrastructure and services align with global objectives.

The role requires hands-on cabling experience, DCIM knowledge, and the ability to travel within APAC. Strong English and Chinese communication skills are essential, with aBachelor degree preferred and at least 5 years in a data center

Qualifications

• Experience with DC operational tasks including rack sizing and equipment installation/decommissioning.
• Must be able to sit/stand, lift up to 34 kg.
• Hands-on copper and fiber cabling experience.
• Excellent written and spoken communication in Chinese and English.
• Willingness to travel to mainland China and other APAC countries.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain servers and supporting fixtures and infrastructure in remote locations.
• Implement DC incident management and change control to prevent and manage failures.
• Manage vendors for infrastructure expansion and ensure compliance with specs and standards.
• Lead material movements with Engineers/PMs to ensure timely delivery.
• Identify issues, perform RCA, and implement improvements to prevent recurring issues.
• Demonstrate independent problem solving and initiative.
• Build and grow cross-team relationships.
