Job summary

The Hong Kong Academy for Gifted Education invites applications for roles in talent development and student support. The successful candidate will design diverse programmes, coach students, and provide mentorship to help learners identify strengths and pursue challenging learning paths.

Responsibilities include coordinating competitions, managing events, and ensuring program quality; travel with students may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in STEAM disciplines or equivalent.
• Minium 4 years work experience with NGO, education institution or civil services especially in academic or learning programme development, project and event management.
• A registered teacher with 2-4 years’ relevant experience will also be considered.
• Prior experience in coaching, mentorship, training, counselling, mentoring would be advantageous.
• Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be patient, empathetic and interested to work with young people.
• Good command of both English and Chinese (written and spoken). Putonghua is an added advantage.
• Proficient in using MS Office; familiarity with generative AI, Canva, social media, and electronic publishing is a plus.
• Occasionally travel to Mainland China and overseas with students.
• Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Programme Officer.

Responsibilities

• Design, revamp, and implement talent development programmes aligned with the Academy’s framework.
• Coordinate and coach gifted students through project-based and self-directed learning.
• Provide academic advising, coaching, and mentorship to explore interests and learning pathways.
• Support gifted student participation in competitions and conferences with logistics and placement criteria.
• Oversee enrolment, scheduling, records, risk handling, and events.
