Job summary

Balyasny Asset Management (BAM) is seeking aFundamental L/S Analyst summer intern to join the Equities Investment Teams in Hong Kong. You will assist with research, financial modeling, and data-driven idea generation under the supervision of a Portfolio Manager.

You will conduct deep fundamental research, build detailed company models, write valuation analyses, and take on ad-hoc projects to support investment ideas in public equities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics or other related fields
• Expected graduation date between Winter 2027 and Spring 2028
• Strong modelling and analytical skills. Programming skills are a plus
• Ability to communicate effectively; excellent reading comprehension and writing skills
• High levels of creativity and quick problem-solving capabilities
• Passion for financial markets

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research, primary research, and engage in other data collection efforts
• Build and maintain detailed company financial models
• Create valuation analyses and write company and industry reports
• Take on ad-hoc industry related projects
