Job summary

Manulife is seeking an Assistant Manager for Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting for a 6-month period in Hong Kong. You will lead the preparation of financial reports for HK managed funds, coordinate disclosures, and oversee fund accounting and NAV calculations for pension/MPF platforms.

The role requires strong IFRS/HKFRS knowledge, collaboration with internal teams and external auditors, and the ability to manage audit timelines with EY/KPMG.

Qualifications

• University degree with recognized professional designation in accounting.
• 5-7+ years’ work experience in financial reporting for investment funds.
• Strong IFRS/HKFRS/Lux GAAP and regulatory financial reporting knowledge.
• Knowledgeable in Mutual Fund NAV calculations, fund accounting, dividend distributions and fee calculations.
• Strong business partnering and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
• Excellent command of English and Chinese (preferred).
• Minimal travelling may be required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation of financial reports for pension/HK fund platforms with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee the update of main financial statements, notes, and disclosures.
• Perform reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data used in reports.
• Coordinate fee approvals and documentation with external fund administrators and Finance team.
• Coordinate audit activities and deliverables for fund/MPF APIF schemes with timelines and stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit audit deliverables (financial statements, files, schedules).
• Work with auditors (EY, KPMG) on walkthroughs and data requests.
• Stakeholder coordination across Finance, Legal, Product and external parties.
• Drive internal discussions and decision-making on global operational approaches and ownership.
• Data management, investigate discrepancies and NAV queries.
• External party & vendor coordination; stay updated on regulatory changes in Asia.
