About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full Time Barista to join Mason Pocket located in Sheung Wan. In this role, you will be the heart of our beverage service, crafting high-quality coffees and drinks whilst delivering exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospitality environment where your skills and passion for coffee will be valued and developed. What you'll be doing

• Multitasking in preparing and serving a variety of espresso-based drinks, speciality coffees, and other beverages to consistently high standards
• Operating and maintaining espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness
• Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently whilst providing friendly, attentive service
• Managing the bar area, including stock rotation, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace
• Engaging with customers in a professional and personable manner, building rapport and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Following health and safety regulations and adhering to food and beverage handling standards
• Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting colleagues during busy service periods
• Learning and adapting to new drinks, techniques, and procedures as required by the establishment

What we're looking for

• At least half a year of experience working as a barista, proficient in making latte art(making a Rosetta is a basic skill).
• Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and drink preparation techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customer requests simultaneously
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Flexibility to work a whole day shift from opening to closing, including working on busy weekends and public holidays as required
• Experience working in Hong Kong hospitality venues would be advantageous
