Job summary

Hong Kong Life Insurance Limited is seeking a software engineer to join our IT team to develop, test, implement and maintain both web applications and backend systems. You will work closely with a System Analyst and participate in ongoing system support and enhancements.

The role requires a university degree in Computer Science or IT, 1-3 years of IT experience (insurance knowledge is a plus), and strong analytical and communication skills in Chinese and English.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or IT related discipline.
• 1-3 years' IT experience; life/employee benefit insurance experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, Node.JS, Vue.JS and VB/Crystal/Jasper reporting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of AIX/Linux, WebSphere, Oracle, MS SQL and VB.Net is helpful.
• Familiarity with modern front-end/mobile frameworks (Angular.js, Vue.js, React/React Native, Flutter).
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Perform system development, testing, implementation, maintenance support, documentation and user training.
• Work with System Analyst for development of web application and backend systems.
• Participate in ongoing system support and enhancements.
• Conduct SIT and support UAT to ensure requirements are met.
