Job summary

Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking an IT software developer to participate in the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance. You will develop front-end or back-end modules with guidance and learn to configure middleware components such as API gateways and queues.

The role requires 1–5 years of software development experience, basic technical knowledge, and good English/Chinese communication.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of software development experience; fresh graduates are welcome.
• Basic understanding of front-end or back-end technologies.
• Familiarity with middleware (Nginx, Kafka, Redis) is a plus.
• Exposure to CI/CD, monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana), or logging (ELK) is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of RPA tools is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Good communication in English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain front-end (React/Vue/Angular) or back-end (Java/Python/.NET) modules with guidance.
• Learn to configure and support middleware components such as API gateways and message queues.
• Assist in system operations by monitoring alerts, documenting incidents, and supporting root cause analysis.
• Support project delivery tasks such as progress tracking, documentation, and cross-team coordination.
