Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a Full Stack Engineer in Hong Kong to join our engineering team. You will design, develop, and enhance high-performance, scalable applications using Golang on the backend and SvelteKit on the frontend, with GraphQL APIs and microservices architecture.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing performance, and contributing to system architecture while upholding engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional Full Stack/Software/Backend Engineer experience.
• Hands-on with Golang, SvelteKit or modern frontend frameworks, microservices, and SQL (PostgreSQL/MS SQL).
• Familiarity with JavaScript, GraphQL APIs, CI/CD, automated testing, and Git version control.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Golang for backend development and SvelteKit for frontend development

• Design, develop, optimise, and maintain GraphQL APIs for data-driven applications

• Build and maintain microservices-based architectures that are scalable, modular, and resilient

• Design and optimise databases using PostgreSQL and MS SQL

• Develop efficient SQL queries and contribute to database performance tuning

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Operations teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Software Engineer, or Backend Engineer

• Strong hands-on experience in Golang, SvelteKit or modern frontend frameworks (React/Vue.js), microservices and distributed systems, with strong SQL skills in PostgreSQL and/or MS SQL

• Familiarity with JavaScript, GraphQL APIs, CI/CD, automated testing, and Git/version control

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Good to Have

• Experience with AWS, Temporal Workflow, Node.js, Docker, Kubernetes, performance tuning, observability, system optimisation, team leadership/mentoring, C#, and cloud-native distributed application environments
