Job summary

Mox Bank in Hong Kong (SAR) is seeking a seasoned Full Stack Engineer to help scale a cloud-native digital banking platform. You will design and build customer-facing features and the supporting backend services, collaborating with product, design and platform teams to deliver value quickly.

You will work across TypeScript, Java/Kotlin and cloud services, implement secure, scalable APIs, and contribute to automated tests, CI/CD and runbooks to ensure reliability and trust in our digital banking

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production software in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong experience developing full-stack applications across frontend and backend layers.
• Fluent in TypeScript and modern JavaScript, with solid frontend experience.
• Fluent in Kotlin or Java for backend service development.
• Distributed systems, service design, and API architecture knowledge.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.
• CI/CD pipelines, production monitoring, and incident response.

Requrements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production software in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong experience developing full-stack applications across frontend and backend layers.
• Fluent in TypeScript and modern JavaScript, with solid experience in frontend application development.
• Fluent in Kotlin or Java for backend service development.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, service design, and API architecture.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of secure application design, data protection, and resilient service behaviour.
• Strong testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration tooling for deployment and operations.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, production monitoring, and incident response.
• Experience working in regulated, security-sensitive, or customer-trust-heavy environments is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams with product, design, and platform partners.
• Quick learner with a results-driven mindset.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development workflows.
