Job summary

Wati, the world’s leading WhatsApp-first conversational growth platform, is seeking a Software Engineer I to build and maintain backend services and APIs powering its SaaS platform. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features, ensure reliability, and continuously improve performance and deployment efficiency.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and have 3–5 years backend or full-stack experience, with C# or Golang, RESTful

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of backend or full-stack development experience.
• Experience with backend development using C# or Golang.
• Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL) and RESTful APIs; MongoDB or PostgreSQL a plus.
• Basic understanding of Git and cloud deployment (AWS / GCP / Azure).
• Nice to have frontend exposure with JavaScript/TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs powering WATI's SaaS platform and WhatsApp Business solutions.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams to deliver new features efficiently.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in design reviews and RFC discussions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize performance across components.
• Support CI/CD and deployment processes for faster iterations.
• Keep up to date with new technologies and propose enhancements for scalability.
