Job summary
Eclipse Trading, headquartered in Hong Kong with a presence in Sydney, is seeking a Python Developer to join the Rapid Application Development (RAD) Team. You will work closely with traders and quantitative analysts to build and optimize Python-based trading applications across multiple business lines.
The role emphasizes end-to-end project leadership, strong testing practices, and production support. Relocation sponsorship is available for qualified candidates, with a requirement for English
Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional Python development experience.
- Proven ability to design, extend, and maintain clean, production-grade Python apps and libraries.
- Strong focus on automated testing, code reviews, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with asynchronous programming (asyncio or similar).
- Background in trading system development is a strong plus.
- Prior front office or quant development experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and expand our Python-based application development framework.
- Collaborate with traders and quantitative analysts to build and maintain Python trading applications.
- Lead projects end-to-end—from analysis and design through to implementation and delivery.
- Train end users and promote software development best practices.
- Provide Tier 3 production support as needed.
