Job summary

HashOptima is seeking a Backend Java/Python Developer to join our core development team in Hong Kong. The role focuses on greenfield projects for large-scale trading and quotation systems, covering requirements, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

You will deliver low-latency, high-throughput production code and collaborate with the Research/Quant team to enhance pricing and hedging models. Expect mentoring, on-call support, and emphasis on AI-assisted workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full software development lifecycle experience in Java and Python.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.
• Solid knowledge of software design, architecture, and system integration.
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency trading systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI coding agents and agent-driven workflows is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend components for large-scale trading and quotation systems.
• Deliver production-grade code with low latency and high throughput.
• Collaborate with Research/Quant teams on pricing and hedging models.
• Improve trading system infrastructure for large-scale positions and quotes.
• Mentor junior developers and lead code reviews.
• Participate in on-call rotations and production support.
• Embrace AI coding agents to plan, design, and review code and tests.
