Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in fixed income portfolio management and/or credit research.
• Proven track record in fixed income portfolio management and risk management.
• Experience with offshore fixed income markets; knowledge of DM markets is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; proficient with Bloomberg/Reuters or similar tools.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Portfolio Manager with at least 5 - 10 years of relevant experience under Fixed Income investment team. The ideal candidate will support portfolio management including but not limited to credit selection, market research, performance optimization and risk control. Focusing on delivering consistent returns in line with investment guidelines. The role offers a dynamic platform to leverage deep fixed income expertise, drive portfolio performance and collaborate with cross-functional teams in complex market conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Construct and support fixed income portfolios aligned with investment, client, risk and regulatory guidelines.

Conduct in-depth research on fixed income securities (focus on Asia credits), identify high-potential opportunities with comprehensive assessments on credit, interest rate and liquidity risks.

Monitor market, macroeconomic trends and credit fundamentals; proactively adjust portfolio positions for performance optimization; conduct regular portfolio analysis and provide insights/recommendations to stakeholders and clients.

Collaborate with research, trading and risk teams on market updates and strategy optimization; assist in client meetings and business development.

Fulfil ad-hoc management assignments timely to support team operations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related;

5 -10 years of relevant experience in fixed income portfolio management and/or credit/ corporate research; preferred in asset management firms, mutual funds or institutional investment teams.

Proven track record in fixed income portfolio management; strong grasp of portfolio construction, risk management and performance optimization; experience in client portfolio management or strategy development is a strong plus.

Expertise in offshore fixed income markets; solid understanding of economic trends, interest rate dynamics and credit risk assessment, knowledge of DM markets is a plus.

Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Fluent in spoken/written English and Mandarin; proficiency in Bloomberg, Reuters or similar financial tools is mandatory.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
