EZSVS (Hongkong) Co., Limited is seeking a Fire Protection Expert to oversee data centre fire safety in the Asia-Pacific region. You will lead incident response, risk assessment, and safety program development to protect personnel and infrastructure.

Responsibilities include implementing a robust fire safety management system, coordinating with authorities, and driving compliance with NFPA and ISO standards across multiple sites.

Qualifications

Job description

Fire Protection Expert (Data Centre | Safety Protection)

Responsible for the implementation and overall management of fire safety operations at data centres in the Asia-Pacific Region II (including Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines and other areas);

Lead the real‑time response to, coordination and resolution of fire incidents at data centres, ensuring efficient communication with internal teams, emergency services and stakeholders to minimise operational disruption and safeguard the safety of personnel and infrastructure;

Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments of data centre facilities, identify key hazards, develop and optimise risk control measures (such as fire protection systems and evacuation procedures), and drive systematic improvements to the fire safety management system;

Conduct regular inspections of fire safety equipment (such as sprinkler systems, alarm devices and fire extinguishers), identify defects and oversee the responsible parties in implementing corrective measures to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements;

Design, create and refine fire safety procedure documentation to strengthen the robustness and compliance of the data centre’s fire safety management system;

Establish cross‑functional collaboration mechanisms to deeply integrate fire safety requirements into day‑to‑day operations; foster a safety culture at all organisational levels through targeted training, safety awareness campaigns and feedback mechanisms, and ensure standardised implementation.

Competency Requirements

• At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in fire protection engineering or fire protection systems;
• Comprehensive knowledge of international fire safety regulations, standards and compliance requirements (e.g. NFPA, ISO 45001, local fire safety laws and regulations, etc.);
• Practical experience in emergency response to fire incidents;
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a proactive and responsible attitude, and a strong team spirit;

Key Performance Criteria

• Establish a new fire safety management system tailored to the specific environment of the data centre and drive its implementation, ensuring on‑site operations are conducted in accordance with standard procedures;
• Collaborate with local authorities to respond to and manage on‑site fire alarms and incidents;
• Ensure on‑site safety and stability, and prevent the occurrence of fire‑related incidents.
