Job summary
The Bank of East Asia, Limited is seeking a senior incubation leader to drive assessment and incubation of new technologies and business models. You will translate fintech opportunities into concrete use cases, MVPs, and pilots while collaborating across business units, technology teams, and external partners to deliver customer value and viability in Hong Kong and the GBA.
You will research AI, blockchain/Web3, and API-driven solutions, transform trends into action, and manage the incubation
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 7+ years’ fintech, digital banking, technology innovation, product development, or tech consulting experience.
- Proven PoCs, prototypes, MVPs or pilot projects with progression toward adoption or production.
- Experience with banks or regulated financial institutions and cross-functional collaboration.
- Working knowledge of AI, blockchain/Web3, APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Ability to translate business needs into use cases, validation plans and success criteria.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills including cost-benefit assessment.
Responsibilities
- Drive assessment, experimentation, and incubation of emerging technologies and innovative business models.
- Translate strategic priorities from fintech ecosystem into actionable use cases, MVPs, pilots.
- Collaborate with internal units, tech teams, control functions, and partners through discovery to handover.
- Research AI, Web3, blockchain and API-driven solutions for relevance to strategic priorities.
- Define hypotheses, validation criteria, and stage-gate recommendations for decisions.
- Coordinate technical experimentation, user feedback, and business validation for wider adoption.
- Develop business cases including benefits, costs, resources, and production pathways.
- Prepare validated initiatives for transition to product, business, or tech teams.
