Qualifications

• University graduate with Accounting/Finance emphasis.
• Qualified accountant / HKICPA or equivalent.
• Over 6 years’ experience in banking/financial sector preferred.
• Experience in month-end closing and statutory accounts preparation.
• Solid understanding of HKFRS standards.
• Knowledge of Hong Kong Profits Tax computations and tax provisioning, including deferred tax.
• Experience liaising with external and internal auditors.
• Managerial experience is a plus.
• Team player with good communication and risk awareness.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Putonghua preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end closing and statutory reporting.

• Coordinate with auditors and tax advisors as part of annual filings.

Position Summary

The incumbent will be responsible for month-end closing and annual and interim statutory reporting, as well as any ad hoc and regular financial analysis/statutory reports, board meeting materials and management reports on timely basis as requested by the Top Management, major shareholders and regulatory authorities.

Responsibilities

• University graduate, preferably major in Accounting or Finance
• Qualified accountant / HKICPA or equivalent
• Preferable over 6 years’ experience in banking sector or financial industry
• Good knowledge and experience in handling month-end closing and statutory account preparation
• Good understanding of the HKFRS Accounting Standards
• Good knowledge of Hong Kong Profits Tax computations, tax provisioning, and tax book closing procedures (including deferred tax)
• Experience in liaising with both external and internal auditors
• Prior managerial experience is highly advantageous
• A team player with good communication skills and risk awareness
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua is preferable
