Job summary

CPP Investments is seeking an experienced Associate, Financial Reporting to strengthen the accuracy and integrity of its financial statements across APAC entities. You will enhance reporting processes and collaborate with management, the Board, and external auditors to ensure transparent disclosure.

In this role you will own annual statements, coordinate audits, support general ledger processes, and drive improvements in reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or college diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting within the investment management, pension fund, or financial services industry.
• CPA designation.
• Proven experience with corporate, financial, and regulatory filing requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and internal controls over financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead the completion of annual financial statements, including financial statement notes, in accordance with IFRS and local reporting standards.
• Coordinate legal entity annual audits, including managing timelines, deliverables, and the resolution of financial statement issues with external auditors.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to support the timely and accurate production of financial statements and financial information within the general ledger.
• Review financial statements prepared by third-party service providers for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with CPP Investments policies and standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting processes.
• Own and coordinate ongoing and ad hoc legal entity management activities across CPP Investments' APAC entities, including corporate and regulatory filings and governance activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to support reporting, governance, and operational objectives.
