Job summary

Fides Solutions Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced SAP Finance/Controlling specialist to lead deployments and drive automation of financial processes. You will map requirements, configure SAP modules, and ensure user adoption across the finance teams during upgrades.

The role emphasizes rigorous testing, training, and close collaboration with IT and external consultants to maintain system stability and audit readiness. A strong accounting background and SAP expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years of experience in finance systems, SAP implementations, or business analysis within accounting environments
• Demonstrated expertise with SAP, particularly in Finance (FI), Controlling (CO), and General Ledger modules
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and controls relevant to systems audit and IT audit
• Proficiency in data analysis tools, SQL, or financial reporting tools
• Experience with systems implementations or process transformation projects
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
• Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Relevant professional certification such as SAP Certified Associate, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is advantageous
• Knowledge of IT audit and financial controls frameworks would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP implementations and upgrades, ensuring successful system deployment and user adoption across finance teams
• Analyse current financial processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency gains, and process improvement
• Configure and customise SAP modules (particularly Finance and Controlling) to align with business requirements and best practices
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, document specifications, and translate these into technical solutions
• Conduct system testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT), to ensure quality assurance and compliance with business specifications
• Provide training and support to finance staff on new systems, processes, and functionality
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and recommend enhancements to optimise financial workflows
• Document configuration, process flows, and technical specifications to support knowledge management and change control
• Support internal and external audit activities related to financial systems and controls
• Liaise with IT and external SAP consultants to resolve technical issues and ensure system stability
