Generali Life (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Senior Officer, Finance Operations for a 1-year contract. The role focuses on accurate AP/AR recording, bank reconciliation, and cash settlement processes within a life insurance context.

You will monitor receivables, manage statements, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain SOPs while supporting system enhancements with IT and vendors. A CPA or equivalent is preferred and at least 4 years in finance ops is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related major.
• CPA or similar qualification preferred.
• 4+ years' experience in finance operations (AP/AR, collections, bank reconciliation, payments), preferably in non-life insurance/financial services.
• Experience in multinational programs and complex reinsurance structures is definite advantage.
• Hands-on systems capability (e.g., SAP, AS400 admin systems, bank portals, reporting tools) and strong Excel/data skills.
• Strong understanding of operational controls, audit requirements and process documentation.
• Able to collaborate across departments and within the unit.
• Strong team player.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, able to prioritize under deadlines and handle ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate execution and the correct recording of Account Payables and Receivables in the accounting ledger
• Monitor receivables, ensure distribution of the Statement of account, follow up undeliverable emails, coordinate with LoB on escalation, and drive aged balance reduction and provisioning/write-off inputs. Provide KPI/aging reporting to Finance leadership and stakeholders
• Perform daily bank statement review, allocate receipts in the Policy Admin Systems and finance systems, investigate suspense items, and coordinate with internal/external parties for settlement details and cleanup
• Process claims/commissions maintaining evidence and preventing control bypass in the settlement flows. Enforce credit control procedures
• Maintain and update the Standard Operating Procedure, support on the system enhancements with IT and vendors to reduce reliance on manual processes
