Job summary

hermeneutic research is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee financial operations, reporting, and compliance. You will report to the Head of Finance and collaborate with multiple departments to sustain the firm’s financial health in a dynamic market environment.

The role requires 5–8 years of progressive experience, a finance/accounting degree, and CPA/CA designation. Bilingual English/Chinese proficiency and strong Excel/Python skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years progressive experience as a Finance Manager, buy-side or crypto exposure valued.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA/CA designation required.
• Solid bookkeeping foundation including GL, month-end close, reconciliations.
• Experience with fund administrators and NAV processes preferred.
• Audit experience or managing external audits is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin), written and spoken.
• Strong financial modeling skills; advanced Excel; Python or similar a plus.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment across teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping, month-end close, and account reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts per regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with fund administrator on NAV reviews and investor activity.
• Ensure compliance, internal controls, and support annual audits.
• Develop investor materials in English and Chinese; manage investor queries.
• Support cash forecasting and liquidity planning; optimize treasury processes.
