Leadingnation in Hong Kong is seeking a senior finance professional to manage daily booking and month-end close for a broad range of financial products. You will ensure accurate trade recording, client money reconciliation, and timely FRR regulatory submissions.
The role requires 6+ years in finance/accounting, with FRR experience, and a CPA/HKICPA/ACCA qualification preferred. Fluent English and Cantonese/Mandarin are advantageous, with strong analytical skills and resilience.
Handle daily booking and accounting entries for a wide range of financial products, ensuring accurate recording of trades, e.g.,brokerage fees, and commissions.
Manage month-end closing and financial reporting for non-licensed corporations within the group.
Monitor and reconcile client trading settlement funds, broker statements, perform client money segregation.
Lead the preparation and timely submission of Financial Resources Rules (FRR) regulatory returns.
Conduct daily monitoring of FRR compliance, ensuring the firm maintains sufficient liquid capital and assessing the capital impact of new business activities.
Drive automation initiatives for FRR reporting - streamline data extraction, calculation logic, and submission workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce manual errors, and shorten reporting turnaround times.
Manage other statutory and regulatory filings, Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and internal review processes.
Liaise with regulators, head office, external auditors, and professional firms on accounting and compliance matters.
Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting, with at least 3 years in a securities firm or financial institution.
Solid experience in SFC FRR reporting at a licensed corporation.
Strong knowledge of accounting treatment and booking procedures for various financial products (equities, options, futures, structured notes, funds, etc.).
Proven experience in securities trade settlement, client money reconciliation, and brokerage accounting.
Professional accounting qualification (CPA / HKICPA / ACCA) is highly preferred.
Familiar with SFC regulatory standards and licensing requirements.
Ability to handle full-set accounts and regulatory returns independently.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
Proficient in MS Office applications and accounting software.
