Job summary

Global Sports Jobs Limited is seeking a Senior Finance Governance Lead to strengthen the Club, Trust and related entities’ financial controls and governance. You will enhance processes, systems and policies, partnering with Finance to enable insights and drive governance maturity.

The role focuses on risk management, control assurance and cross-entity standardisation, with a roadmap for automation and sustainable improvements. Extensive experience in governance is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business/tech discipline and strong governance experience.
• At least 12 years in finance governance, controls, risk management or audit.
• Proven ability to analyse data, report exceptions and monitor controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead refinements of the finance governance and control framework across entities.
• Identify and remediate control gaps; strengthen sustainable, system-enabled controls.
• Assess expenditure controls for policy compliance and risk mitigation.
• Provide practical governance guidance to stakeholders and senior management.
• Develop a prioritized roadmap to streamline finance processes and standardise practices.
• Drive process automation to improve control quality and reduce manual effort.
• Draft policies, procedures and guidance for consistent application.
• Design control self-assessment and monitoring programmes.
