Central Nexus Limited in Hong Kong seeks a senior finance and operations leader to oversee hedge fund operations, accounting, fund valuation, and investor services. You will serve as the SFC Type 9 Responsible Officer and drive compliance, leading a professional team for smooth daily trading.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance with 8+ years in hedge fund operations and CFO/Finance Director experience.

• Oversee hedge fund operations, accounting, fund valuation and investor services.
• Serve as SFC Type 9 Responsible Officer and ensure compliance.
• Lead and develop a professional operations team for daily trading continuity.
• Establish internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Coordinate audits and regulatory reporting; liaise with fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and legal advisers.

Descripción del empleo

Leads daily finance and operations functions, including corporate accounting, fund valuation, trade operations, investor onboarding, and client services.

Serves as theSFC Type 9 Responsible Officer (RO), directly accountable for all asset management activities and ensuring full compliance with SFC rules and guidelines.

Manages a professional team to support daily trading activities and promptly resolves operational flow issues to ensure business continuity.

Establishes and enforces proper procedures and internal controls across the team, ensuring standardized and transparent processes.

Builds strong working relationships with external partners including fund administrators, custodians, auditors, and legal advisors to enhance operational efficiency.

Leads annual audits, periodic regulatory reporting, and other improvement projects, continuously optimizing finance and operations systems.

Job Requirement:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance or a related discipline, with at least 8 years of experience in hedge fund operations.

Strong financial leadership experience - ideally holding prior CFO, Finance Director, or Controller responsibilities

Comprehensive knowledge of front-to-back operations, fund administration, capital flows, valuations, risk frameworks, and fund governance

Demonstrated track record in operational framework design, process improvement, and successful implementation of internal controls.

Solid accounting background, covering budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash flow management, NAV oversight, investor reporting, and subscription/redemption processes.

Must be fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken)
