You will lead budgeting, forecasting, risk management, and financial reporting, partnering with executive leaders to drive performance, efficiency, and responsible growth across the organization.

Job Description

As a Finance Director, your main responsibilities will include:

Corporate Finance & Strategic Planning

• Develop and execute the organization's financial roadmap, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.


• Lead the annual planning cycle, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling, and resource allocation.


• Deliver meaningful financial insights and performance analytics to support strategic and operational decision-making.


• Evaluate organizational performance against financial targets and implement actions to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.


• Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to improve overall performance.

Executive Business Support

• Partner closely with functional and operational leaders to embed sound financial management practices throughout the organization.


• Provide financial leadership for strategic initiatives, funding opportunities, investment evaluations, and business cases.


• Champion a culture of financial accountability and commercial awareness across departments.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with executive management, governing bodies, external advisors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.


• Translate complex financial concepts into practical insights for both financial and non-financial audiences.

Financial Governance & Risk Oversight

• Direct the development and ongoing enhancement of financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks.


• Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulatory obligations, and statutory requirements.


• Lead external audit processes and coordinate the timely resolution of audit observations and recommendations.


• Oversee enterprise financial risk management activities and ensure appropriate control environments are maintained.


• Support board and committee governance through the preparation of high-quality financial reports and management information.

Finance Transformation & Operational Excellence

• Drive modernization initiatives across finance and support functions to improve effectiveness, scalability, and service quality.


• Lead process redesign, automation initiatives, and digital transformation projects to strengthen operational efficiency.


• Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring the timely delivery of accurate, insightful management and statutory information.


• Develop performance frameworks and service metrics that support continuous improvement and operational excellence.


• Promote best practices across finance operations and shared support services.

Administration, Facilities & Capital Management

• Provide oversight of workplace operations, administration, and facilities management activities.


• Ensure effective management of organizational assets and facilities, maintaining compliance, safety, and operational readiness.


• Lead infrastructure, renovation, and capital expenditure projects, ensuring successful execution within approved budgets and timelines.


• Monitor operational performance and asset utilization, providing regular updates to governance committees and senior stakeholders.


• Support long-term facilities planning aligned with organizational growth and service requirements.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team, fostering high performance and professional growth.


• Build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, coaching, and workforce planning initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Finance Director should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications and/or professional finance certifications are preferred.


• Extensive senior-level finance leadership experience gained within complex organizational environments.


• Proven ability to influence strategic decision-making through financial and commercial insight.


• Strong background in financial management, planning, controls, reporting, governance, and compliance.


• Demonstrated success in leading transformation, process optimization, and change management initiatives.


• Experience overseeing operational support functions, facilities management, and capital projects is advantageous.
