Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is recruiting a Finance Director in Hong Kong for a top-tier hedge fund within the Accounting & Finance department. The role centers on maintaining robust finance operations and delivering reliable information to support day-to-day decisions.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in finance/audit within asset management, deep HK SFC/HKFRS/IFRS knowledge, and cross-border exposure (ADGM/UAE). Fluent English and Mandarin, with strong stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance with a recognised professional designation.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, accounting or audit within asset management or regulated financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong regulatory and financial reporting requirements (SFC, HKFRS, IFRS).
• Cross-border finance exposure, especially ADGM/UAE, is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, tax matters and audit engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounting activities for the Group's regulated asset management businesses in HK and the Middle East.
• Oversee statutory accounts, management reports, budgeting and financial analysis per HKFRS/IFRS and local rules.
• Ensure compliance with financial, tax, audit, and regulatory obligations including SFC reporting and UAE tax matters.
• Act as primary finance contact for auditors, regulators, banks and fund administrators.
• Manage month-end and year-end closes with accurate journal reviews and reconciliations.
• Coordinate tax planning and filing across jurisdictions to ensure compliance and optimize tax efficiency.
• Develop and maintain internal control frameworks and accounting policies.
• Support management company and fund reporting, including consolidation and leadership reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process improvements and system projects.
• May serve as MIC for Finance and Accounting under HK SFC framework.
