Job summary

Payoneer Inc. in Hong Kong is seeking a Regional Finance Analyst to support accountants and auditors in daily operations and ensure accurate financial records. Based in Hong Kong, you will join a global finance team and work across APAC with a focus on month-end closings, payments, and payroll processing.

You will engage in financial projects, process improvements, and provide data-driven insights using Excel and ERP tools. Strong English and Chinese communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 3 years accounting experience with US GAAP/IFRS knowledge.
• Experience with ERP and MS Excel required.

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Regional Finance Team. This role will be based in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will support accountants and auditors in daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone organized, responsible, and eager to grow in a dynamic work environment.

What you will do:

Month end closing & financial analysis

• Perform month end closing duties including financial analysis, reviewing full general ledger, P&L, Balance sheet according to US GAAP, and/or any local GAAP in the Asia Pacific region; experience in consolidation is added advantage.
• Handle accounting and taxation enquiries from internal/external stakeholders.
• Assisting audit requirements (internal and external).

Corporate payments

• Process payment requests with relevant supporting documents and obtain proper approvals.
• Handle invoice settlements and expense reimbursements.
• Upload and reconcile bank balances and transactions
• Assisting relevant purchasing requestors and procurement team across APAC region if needed.

Financial Projects and Process Improvements

• Participate in finance transformation projects.
• Define and deliver process improvements across Finance team, focusing on:
• Time-saving opportunities.
• Controls and risk assessment.

Payroll operations

• Assist in payroll-related work and resolve employee inquiries relating to payroll matters.

Perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

• With excellent interpersonal skills, able to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders across APAC region.
• Self-motivated, well organized, independent, responsible, good communication skills and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to take up challenges and work in a fast-paced environment.

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business studies or any professional accountancy qualification.
• Minimum 3 years accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge (and application) in accounting standards such as US GAAP, IFRS or equivalent.
• Hands-on knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software/ ERP.
• Well-versed in accounting & vendor payment processing procedures.
• High level of written and spoken English & Chinese.
• Experience in managing Asia Pacific region (or multiple regions).

Not a must but a great advantage:

• Experience in Power BI/ Business Central ERP / Microsoft Dynamics (NAV).
• Experience in cross-border e-commerce, online payment industry.
• Prior experience in engaging outsourced bookkeeping team.
