Job summary

HKT is seeking an Engineer to assist design, plan, implement, maintain and operate outdoor mobile radio network infrastructure in Hong Kong. You will manage site rollout projects, coordinate with subcontractors and landlords, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Requirements include an associate degree or higher in Telecommunications or related fields, 3+ years in mobile site rollout or telecommunications projects, hands-on installation and commissioning experience, and fluency in English

Qualifications

• Associate Degree, Higher Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering or related disciplines
• At least 3 years of experience in mobile cell site rollout, implementation, maintenance or telecommunications engineering projects
• Hands-on experience in telecom equipment installation, integration and commissioning
• Good knowledge of wireless network technologies, including LTE and 5G mobile networks
• Solid fieldwork experience in outdoor mobile site implementation and maintenance
• Experience in coordinating subcontractors, vendors and project stakeholders
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in the design, planning, implementation, maintenance and operation of outdoor mobile radio network infrastructure.
• Manage and coordinate mobile site rollout projects, including site implementation, equipment installation, integration and acceptance.
• Install, configure and commission radio and transmission equipment in accordance with engineering standards and project requirements
• Conduct site surveys and prepare survey reports, technical proposals, drawings, work procedures and related documentation
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors and landlords to ensure project delivery meets timeline, quality and safety requirements
• Monitor site progress and support troubleshooting of network and site-related issues
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure network reliability and service availability
• Participate in emergency restoration and ad hoc network deployment activities when required
