Role Summary
A front-office structuring role at the product core of the FICC franchise. The incumbent designs, prices and manages FX-linked structured notes and client-facing OTC derivatives end to end — from structuring and term-sheet drafting through issuance, back-to-back hedging, booking and valuation — and brings new structured products to market in partnership with middle and back office. This is a product design and pricing role, not a middle/back-office operations role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Design & Development
- Lead the end‑to‑end design and development of new structured products, proactively identifying client needs and delivering bespoke, market‑responsive solutions.
2. Pricing, Valuation & Risk Assessment
- Perform rigorous valuation and pricing analysis across the full spectrum of structured products (linked to FICC asset classes).
- Assess return and risk profiles, and prepare product term sheets, internal approval materials, and related documentation.
3. Full‑Lifecycle Management
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, covering issuance, booking, and all post‑trade processes for products across FICC underlyings.
- Coordinate seamlessly with front, middle, and back offices, as well as external counterparties, to ensure smooth execution from inception to maturity.
4. Sales & Client Support
- Partner closely with the sales team to conduct product roadshows, client presentations, and marketing activities, articulating product features and value propositions effectively.
5. Operational & Infrastructure Enablement
- Provide operational leadership for structured note programs, including troubleshooting and process optimization.
- Contribute to the build‑out of the structured note infrastructure, collaborating with IT on system development, testing, and ongoing maintenance to enhance automation and efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Law, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in FICC structured product management with demonstrable involvement across multiple operational processes – including issuance, valuation, settlement, and post‑trade lifecycle events.
- Solid understanding of valuation and pricing models for structured products, as well as the corresponding operational workflows; familiarity with trading and clearing rules for major FICC asset classes (e.g., bonds, interest rate derivatives, credit products).
- Proven experience in structured product operations and administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
