Job summary

eFinancialCareers is seeking an experienced Fixed Income Operations / Middle Office SME for a large Global Macro Hedge Fund in Hong Kong. The role focuses on trade support, lifecycle management, and FICC knowledge from a hedge fund or investment bank background.

You will oversee outsourced middle office activities, collaborate with technology, and drive process improvements to scale the business while managing risk and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in Operations, Middle Office or Trade Support.
• Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlement processes.
• Experience across multiple asset classes including FICC, IRS/CDS is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and drive solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration; familiarity with hedge fund regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide trade support and lifecycle management across asset classes, including FICC with relevant experience.
• Ensure accurate and timely trade capture, allocation, and settlement across all asset types.
• Reconcile cash, trades and positions daily with prime brokers, custodians and counterparties; investigate discrepancies.
• Manage corporate actions and asset servicing, including mandatory and voluntary actions.
• Oversee daily operational activities by outsourced middle office team; escalate high-risk items.
• Collaborate with Technology to implement process improvements and system upgrades.
• Monitor operational risks; coordinate with Risk and Compliance to close gaps and improve efficiency.
• Conduct data analysis to inform decisions and support regulatory filings.
