Job summary

CLSA in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned Client Development professional to expand the corporate and hedge fund client base, focusing on onboarding, profiling, and risk assessment for product suitability while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Finance or related field, 4+ years in client onboarding, AML familiarity, and fluency in English and Chinese. Knowledge of complex products and collaboration with internal teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or above in Finance, Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of direct client development experience through either client acquisition or investment onboarding work.
• Strong understanding of the client investment and risk profiling for non-institutional clients ( corporates & hedge funds ) is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in explaining to clients why certain information is required (investment decision process, taxation residency, asset safekeeping).
• Familiarity with global AML laws and regulations as they relate to traded financial products.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; Mandarin and Cantonese required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with external clients and internal teams.
• Experience for SFC License Representative registration in Types 1 and 4 for CSI Global Markets Limited.

Responsibilities

• Update and keep fluid the client business development pipeline across key client segments (corporates and hedge funds prioritized).
• Prepare client prospecting decks educating clients and supporting information, profiling and risk assessment for product suitability.
• Maintain strong risk management; ensure regulatory and internal compliance policies are embedded in client acquisition models with Legal, Compliance and product specialists.
