The appointee will be responsible for providing administrative support to postgraduate programmes. Main duties include providing programme support, supporting the admission exercises, planning course-related matters and timetabling, drafting policies and guidelines, writing administrative papers and reports, assisting in the planning and implementation of postgraduate programmes; serving as Secretary to Boards and Committees; mentoring junior-ranked staff; liaising with programme management personnel, departments and external bodies; and performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree with preferably 7 years of post-qualification full‑time working experience, ideally within a university‑level administrative setting, preferably in providing administrative support to postgraduate programmes or in supporting admission exercises. He/She should also have good interpersonal and communication skills, experience in supervising junior staff, the ability to work independently and as a good team coordinator and member as well as to handle multiple tasks in an organised manner; be highly proficient in both English and Chinese (including Putonghua), and able to work under a tight timeline. Applicant with working experience in local tertiary education institutions is preferred.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed‑term contract. Fringe benefits include the University’s Voluntary Contributions to MPF Scheme or a contract‑end lump sum payment (totaling up to 10% of the basic salary), leave, medical and dental benefits.
