Job summary

The Royal Garden Kowloon East is seeking an Events Sales Manager to lead pre-event planning, liaise with meeting planners, and oversee post-event follow-up. This role focuses on optimizing room configurations, menu planning, and guest experience at our venue in Hong Kong.

The ideal candidate will have 5-6 years in meeting planning within the service/hotel industry and strong skills in communication, negotiation, and reporting. Proficiency in MS Office and Opera is preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualifications with 5-6 year(s) working experience in meeting planning.
• Experience in the service/hotel industry would be an advantage.
• Strong organisational, communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent PC skills (MS Office, Opera).

Responsibilities

• Handle pre-event planning with meeting planners, advise on room configuration, menu planning, F&B coordination and decor to improve efficiency.
• Meet with each meeting planner daily to debrief on events, review consumption, billing and any exceptions to contracted billing.
• Plan and conduct pre-event meetings with clients and catering staff to enhance guest experience.
• Supervise post-event calls and collect Feedback Survey to identify further business opportunities.
• Manage and train Events Coordinators in carrying out their responsibilities.

Events Sales Manager

At the moment, we are looking for a Events Sales Managerto join our professional team at The Royal Garden Kowloon East.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible to handle pre-event planning process, consult with the meeting planners to identify optimal meeting room configuration, recommendation on meeting/break flow, menu planning, food & beverage coordination, table arrangements, decoration options, etc. to improve meeting efficiency and productivity


• Meet with each meeting planner daily to debrief on daily events, review consumption, bill and any exceptions to contracted billing and review estimates of final billing


• Plan and conduct pre-event meetings with clients and catering staff to identify ways to enhance the guest experience


• Supervise the organisation of post-event calls and collection of Feedback Survey and follow up with customers to obtain event feedback and identify further business opportunities


• Manage and train Events Coordinators in carrying out their responsibilities

Job Qualification

• Degree, Diploma or equivalent qualifications with 5-6year(s) working experience in meeting planning, Relevant experience in the service/hotel industry would be an advantage


• Strong organisational skills required to maintain electronic, paper filing and update sales systems


• Strong communication skills and negotiation skills


• Effectively verbal and written skills as well as producing reports


• Excellent PC skills (including MS Office, Opera)
