Job summary

Randstad Hong Kong Limited is seeking an ETF Investment Analyst / Assistant Portfolio Manager to join its expanding passive & quantitative investment desk in Hong Kong. You will gain end-to-end exposure across multi-asset ETF portfolio management, derivatives implementation, liquidity management, and innovative product development.

Qualifications

• 2 years of ETF/portfolio management or related experience.
• Strong analytical and programming aptitude.
• Familiarity with ETF market structure and index methodologies.
• Experience with Bloomberg and data tools is advantageous.
• CFA or FRM candidates/holders are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily portfolio management, including trade execution, rebalancing, cash management, corporate actions, and risk/tracking error monitoring.
• Monitor, analyze, and implement derivatives strategies for portfolio hedging, liquidity, and risk management.
• Conduct research on ETF market structure, derivatives liquidity, index methodologies, and institutional adoption trends.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams throughout the full fund lifecycle.
• Prepare client-facing presentation materials, portfolio analysis, and market commentary.
• Product & Derivatives Exposure: Solid understanding of the ETF ecosystem and index methodologies; exposure to derivatives trading, portfolio hedging, or financing costs is a strong advantage.

This role offers broad, end-to-end exposure across multi-asset ETF portfolio management, derivatives implementation, capital markets liquidity, and next-generation product innovation.

• Multi-Asset Strategy Breadth: Support portfolio management across equity, fixed income, and derivatives-based ETF strategies. Candidates with greater experience will be considered for an Assistant Portfolio Manager title.
• Capital Markets & Liquidity Oversight: Partner closely with capital markets teams on Participating Dealer (PD) onboarding, Market Maker (MM) support, primary market basket operations, and creation/redemption mechanics.
• Execution & Quantitative Infrastructure: Drive portfolio optimization, monitor derivatives implementation, and support the enhancement of trading automation tools and risk analytics.
• Product Development & Insights: Participate in launching new thematic and income strategies while preparing institutional market commentary and portfolio analytics.

• Credentials: CFA or FRM candidates/holders are a plus. Strong analytical, quantitative problem-solving, and communication skills required.
