CICC in Hong Kong seeks an ETFs Market Specialist to coordinate primary market activity, monitor liquidity, and support trading with dealers, market makers, and exchanges. The role collaborates with portfolio management, legal, and operations on launches and liquidations.

The ideal candidate has 3-7 years in ETFs, strong Bloomberg and Excel skills, and proficiency in Python/SQL; fluent in English and/or Chinese is required.

Formación

• 3-7 years’ experience in ETFs, including capital markets, ETF trading or market making, or a related function within asset management or a broker-dealer.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a quantitative discipline; an advanced degree and/or CFA designation is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and monitor daily ETF primary market activity, including creation and redemption workflows.
• Monitor secondary-market quality across bid–ask spreads, premiums and discounts to NAV, and trading volumes.
• Develop and manage relationships with participating dealers, market makers, liquidity providers, listing venues, and broker-dealer ETF desks.
• Partner with market makers to maintain competitive spreads and market depth, resolve trading anomalies, and support seed capital placement and recall.
• Provide capital markets inputs to Product, Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and listing venues for ETF launches and liquidations.
• Serve as SME for Sales, client advisors, and institutional counterparties on ETF trading mechanics and liquidity.
• Relationship management: build durable, commercial relationships with dealers, market makers, exchanges, and internal stakeholders.
• Explain creation/redemption, arbitrage, basket design, spreads, and premium/discount behavior clearly to stakeholders.
• Use data to diagnose liquidity and pricing issues and produce market-quality reporting.
• Write and present concise capital markets content for PMs, sales teams, and clients.
• Understand product design, listing venue, and market-maker incentives on flows and competitiveness.
