Job summary

Michael Page International (Hong Kong) Limited is recruiting for an equity research specialist focused on Greater China technology. You will conduct fundamental analysis across hardware, software, internet, semiconductors and AI, producing initiation reports and earnings reviews to support investment decisions.

The role requires 1–5 years of relevant experience, strong modelling and valuation skills, and the ability to travel for research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, CS, IT or related fields.
• 1–5 years equity research covering Greater China technology sectors; buy-side or sell-side backgrounds considered.
• Strong fundamental research capability with financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Ability to develop differentiated investment views supported by rigorous analysis.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and data-driven with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for company visits and industry research; Mandarin and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Report directly to the Head of Equity Research.
• Conduct fundamental research on Greater China technology companies across hardware, software, internet, semiconductor, AI and related sectors.
• Produce high-quality company initiation reports, earnings reviews, and thematic research pieces.
• Monitor industry developments, market events, and company-specific catalysts, providing timely investment insights.
• Track portfolio holdings and generate actionable investment recommendations.
• Build and maintain relationships with listed companies, industry experts, sell-side analysts, and other market participants.
• Participate in company meetings, industry conferences, and field research trips where required.
• Support investment-related initiatives, client engagement activities, and business development projects when needed.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Semiconductor-related disciplines, or other relevant fields.
• 1-5 years of equity research experience covering Greater China technology sectors. Candidates from both buy-side and sell-side backgrounds will be considered.
• Outstanding fresh graduates with strong academic credentials in Semiconductor, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related disciplines are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong fundamental research capability with solid financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Ability to develop differentiated investment views supported by rigorous research and analysis.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and data-driven mindset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Willingness to travel for company visits and industry research.
• Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin.
