Job summary

TEKsystems in Hong Kong seeks an AI Engineer to join a global retail organization undergoing a large-scale AI transformation. The role focuses on building enterprise-scale AI solutions for business users across markets.

You will design, develop, and deploy production-grade ML and AI applications using Python, FastAPI, LLMs, and agent workflows, collaborating with data scientists and engineers to deliver scalable, observable, and reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering AI solutions in production environments.
• Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, monitoring and ops best practices.
• English fluency; Cantonese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade machine learning and AI applications.
• Build and deploy AI-powered solutions leveraging LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and workflow orchestration frameworks.
• Develop scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Design and optimize data retrieval and search capabilities using vector search, hybrid search, and enterprise data platforms.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to productionize machine learning models and analytical solutions.
• Build and maintain APIs, middleware services, and supporting microservices.
• Implement monitoring, observability, logging, and alerting for AI applications.
• Design CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes for AI and ML workloads.
• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work closely with global stakeholders to deliver AI solutions across multiple markets and business units.
