Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Hong Kong seeks an Engineering Operations Manager to lead a team responsible for mechanical and electrical operations across facilities.

You will supervise staff, coordinate daily activities, manage contractors, and drive cost control and KPI performance. This role emphasizes leadership, budget oversight, client relationships, and the integration of CBRE standards into maintenance programs, using MS Office tools to report and analyze performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3–5 years relevant operations experience.
• Engineering membership of professional body (CIBSE/IEE) preferred.
• Experience in staffing, training, mentoring, and performance appraisal.
• Strong leadership, client relationship, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees; monitor training and development; conduct performance evaluations; oversee hiring.
• Coordinate daily activities; set work schedules; cross-train staff; track deadlines; mentor as needed.
• Assist team with operations and maintenance issues.
• Direct contractors, subcontractors, and engineers on maintenance aspects.
• Oversee daily operation of facility controls and asset management systems.
• Enforce and merge standards into the maintenance program and changes.
• Support annual operating budgets; evaluate and manage costs for the location.
• Schedule maintenance activities per customer requirements.
• Analyze engineering KPIs; drive improvements and peer reviews.
• Integrate with clients for reconfiguration and operational needs.
• Lead by example; align with CBRE RISE values; influence stakeholders.
